The story line was quite good. However it was never fully developed. The sub plot of Ruby's father and his relationship with Ruby and her mother was left somewhat in left field. It was just dropped in a hurry up finish. I am also quite confused with the "no kiss rule" to "sexual activity in two paragraphs. I am becoming quite frustrated with paying for books that leave me confused. Sam Crescent was always a go to author but I'm rethinking that whole philosophy.
Sweet-cute even. I did read the blurb and I did see it said high school but I guess I figured it wouldn't be focused on that time period. Honestly, I figured it would be one of those high school sweethearts reconnect kind of storylines. It wasn't. I'm not a fan of reading about such a young couple, I guess.Theo was beyond sweet as was Ruby. However, I found the not kissing for a month couple but jumping into sex in a matter of a couple pages to be too much.Not bad-but not a fave for me. And, I'll stick to older characters please.
I've purchased a couple of other books in the serious and enjoyed then well enough. They are quick, easy reads that have enough romance to satisfy me. However I have found that the books tend to lack a real storyline.In this book specifically, the main characters were cute, but they didn't really develop any chemistry. It was kind of like, boy likes girl, boy finally talks to girl, boy and girl fall in love. Nothing real in between. The story felt rushed and it lacked depth. Also, the background characters in the story were brought into the plot line but the situation wasn't really resolved and the reader never gets closure.Very disappointed. With the amount of grammatical errors and the lack of depth throughout the story, this book should have been free.
I've loved all of Sam's YA/NA books and this is no exception. Super sweet with no OW/OM drama the H is a growly alpha already who goes after who he wants. My only complaint? I wish there were multiple epilogues...but that just because other authors have me spoiled. 😉â¤ï¸
I don't think will be buying any more of her books. It's just no interaction with characters, it's missing more of the them.
Super sweet story! Theo knows who he wants and does everything he can to get and show his lady he's for real. Ruby is nervous because of her past with her dad and because she thinks that it's a big joke. Luckily for her she found her Mr. Right For Always!
After a death in my family, this is the first book I read, and I’m so glad. It was a wonderful book. Theo and Ruby are perfect together and Sam Crescent told their story beautifully. I adore her books!!
This was an enjoyable story of young love. Theo was a true gentlemen dispite his chosen profession. The care he showed Rudy was not only sweet but heartfelt. Highly recommend
