About the Author

Michael J. Wildes, of Englewood, NJ., is an adjunct professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York and teaches Business Immigration Law. He is a former federal prosecutor with the United States Attorney's Office in Brooklyn (1989-1993). Michael being one of Americaâ€™s TOP Immigration Attorneyâ€™s and Professor of Immigration Law shares his brilliant insights. A MUST Read !!!

A timely and well-crafted book that presents arguments based upon facts while encompassing the humanness of immigration. The book offers a unique perspective based upon the authorâ€™s first-hand experiences. He attempts to avoid baseless rhetoric and instead focus on a logical rationale for why our nation is where it is today in immigration-related matters. He also presents sensible solutions that are designed for long-term impacts vice short-term fixes. I did not find the book to be overtly pro- or anti-immigration, but instead an attempt to offer clarifying perspectives and justifications for opposing beliefs. Chapter 7 (The SEAL and the Villager) was an especially engaging chapter. The book is an appealing read for any individual, but I think this would be excellent supplemental reading for college coursework in such diverse fields as political science, sociology, and psychology. As a final note, I do believe the author wrote this from the heart, but is able to avoid arguments solely based upon emotion. Certainly worth a read and highly recommended for a book club and subsequent discussions.

He's so on-point by calling America the safe haven for the world's residents and has fought to ensure a safe entry to the US on behalf of hundreds of clients -- many riveting stories that make this book not just an interesting read but also a powerful one. Wildes' ability to connect political questions with legal ones is why this is an important book on such an explosive issue.
